Urban living in nature.
This unique independent senior living facility in the woods will have a strong connection to nature through the use of trails and stand-alone amenity buildings accessed through compelling landscape design.
The 150-unit five-story building will include floor panels from cross-laminated timber (CLT) to complement its beautiful forested surroundings.
Katerra is coordinating the team of Runberg Architects and LRS Architects to ensure both the Kirkland Apartments and Revel Kirkland Senior Living buildings are designed to complement each other as one cohesive “campus” that enhances the “Urban Living in Nature” theme.
These podium buildings are being designed to be assembled from a limited set of consistent components.
Starting with a library of refined unit plans and keeping wall panels consistent across multiple projects, we can maintain a limited yet flexible system of building parts to better control costs, optimize these buildings for manufacturing while still allowing for site-sensitive design.
