Strong. Sustainable. Beautiful.
Katerra’s end-to-end CLT expertise and unrivaled North American manufacturing capabilities enable us to accelerate your mass timber building projects at any scale.
Cross-Laminated Timber is a pre-fabricated, engineered wood building material with unique and often superior building, aesthetic, environmental, and cost attributes. CLT can serve as a system-based approach for floors, walls, and roofs to form a high-performance, sustainable, and beautiful mass timber building of virtually any type.
By integrating traditionally fragmented steps in the design-build process, Katerra’s end-to-end model offers a unique value proposition: a fully integrated building partner with robust technology systems.
Katerra offers 11 different layup configurations to give our customers design flexibility to meet their specific needs.
Katerra offers three, five, seven, and nine-ply layups with various thicknesses reaching up to 12.4 inches. In plan dimension, Katerra presses 10 ft. or 12 ft. nominal by 60 ft. long master panels on each press cycle. Each master panel is subdivided into individual panel elements by a CNC machine to meet project-specific needs.
Katerra partners with select glulam manufacturers to supply our customers with fully fabricated timber solutions.
Katerra’s Spokane Valley manufacturing facility occupies 29 acres in eastern Washington state. The 270,000 sq. ft. facility features one of the largest CLT presses currently in operation globally, as well as easy access to rail lines and interstate highways for ease of transport options.
