Jeff is a founding managing partner of SoftBank Investment Advisers, where he helps manage and lead the firm’s Vision Fund, the largest venture capital fund in the world. He has deep experience as an operator within a wide range of industries and sectors, including ecommerce, retail, media, education, gaming, finance, technology and agribusiness.
Prior to SoftBank, Jeff spent 11 years as President & CEO of leading online retailer and manufacturer Shutterfly, Inc., turning a 100 person start-up into a successful market leader with annual revenues of $1.2 Billion and an enterprise value of more than $2 Billion. Prior to Shutterfly, Jeff held senior executive roles at eBay, AltaVista, Raging Bull, Winstar Communications and was co-founder of Accenture’s Media & Entertainment Strategy Practice.
Jeff is currently a board director at Chegg, Plenty, Grab, and a member of the board of Trustees at Carnegie Mellon University. He has previously held roles as an EIR at Sutter Hill Ventures, advisor to KKR & Co. L.P. and as a director to Groupon, Shutterfly, Munchery, Caesars Entertainment Corporation, Clover, Digital Chocolate, There, and Touch Commerce.
