The “Job Dive” series provides a peek into the jobs of people and teams across Katerra as they develop strategies and new methods of working on the journey to transform the way we build.
Scott Lindsay is a General Superintendent in Katerra’s Seattle office, where he currently oversees The M, a student housing project transforming the University District. With 40 years in the industry and more than 30 as a superintendent, Scott brings a breadth of knowledge and experience to our West Coast construction team.
It’s a complex role with many moving parts, but as Scott puts it, success as a superintendent hinges on three things. “Schedule, budget, and punch list. If you’re ahead of schedule, under budget and have nothing on your punch list – it’s simple, you’re a superintendent.”
“It’s really about the relationships. It’s not our building, it’s everybody’s building. That’s the way we look at it.”
